This instrument was first build as a choir organ by Charles Dallery for the St Firmin le Confesseur church in Amiens in the late 18th century.
It has been sold to the parish of Marissel and rebuild in a new case in 1852 by the organbuilder and author Marie-Pierre Hamel. He published tree books called: " Nouveau Manuel Complet du Facteur d'Orgues " (New Complete Organbuilder's Guide)
During restauration, some of the unused drawings for his books were glued inside the bellows.
